Support Site for U.S. Military INDIANAPOLIS, IN ­ Jim Smith, former president of the Indianapolis Kart Club has recently launched a web-based support site for families and friends of military personnel. The website www,militaryfriends.net offers emotional support for anyone with a military member. In these days, especially just knowing there is someplace you can go to vent your frustrations and everyone there will understand where you are coming from. Mr. Smith has one stepson in the Army as well as a niece and a nephew in the Air Force. His other stepson is due to leave for the Marines this coming August, Those of you who are enduro racers and have attended Championship Enduro Series events in the past may well remember Jim's stepsons, Matt and Tim, as they were popular former racers in the Kohler class races. The site is a work in progress but can already boast of members from 26 states representing all branches of the Armed Forces. Anyone with a connection to or simply the desire to support our military should stop by and check this site out.
