Phantom drivers win at Rockford Speedway
ROCKFORD, IL - Phantom chassis drivers scored top finishes in the Burris National Speedway Series/ Burris Circle Tour race at Rockford Speedway Sunday May 27, 2002, including the top four spots in the Briggs Senior Lite.
Richard McGill Won the Briggs Lite fifty lap feature race with Chad Waller close behind in second, Shane Morrissey coming in third and Ryan Rockhold finishing fourth out of a total of sixteen karts. Adam Carlson won the Briggs Junior III (Gold) Class feature race and the second heat race.
Other notable finishes were Jay Gough who won both of his heat races and finished second for the feature in the Briggs Senior Medium Class and Michael Bilderback who won the Junior Champ kart feature race in a Phantom Buggy kart.
The chassis of choice is the Phantom Nemesis which has proven to be a contender in the fourteen race speedway pavement series. That series tours three premier stock car tracks in three states including Rockford Speedway (IL.), Lake Geneva Raceway (WI.), and Illiana Speedway (IN.).
