The Inside Track's homepages!

Having to work hard to win races is what 10-year-old Jessica Brannam likes most about Karting., With her parents Phil and Diane, Jessica puts an incredible amount of effort and time into getting to Victory Lane. When she isn't racing or helping work on the kart she enjoys swimming, reading and playing with her friends and family in McHenry, IL.

Jessica got interested in Karting after her dad Phil raced karts for many years and soon enough decided she wanted to race also. Although she didn't do too well in her first race ever in April of 2000 at Badger Raceway in Dousman, Wisconsin she quickly learned the sport and has been tearing up the pavement ever since. She finally got that win at badger Raceway she always wanted and has been winning most of the enduro races she has participated in with the MG Tires Championship Enduro Series. In fact, out of nineteen races she has competed in this year she has gone on to win eleven of them. She is thankful for all the help she has gotten from her pit crew this year which consists of her dad Phil, her mom Diane, her Uncle Tim, her sisters Stephanie and Samantha and her grandparents.

She has lerned in her first two years of karting that if you don't work hard and try your best then you will not get what you want. Her philosophy on karting is that you should practice as much as possible and make sure everything is in top condition on the kart if you want to win races. Jessica wants to progress to Mini-Sprint cars after completing her Karting career and hopes to reach the level of the racer she admires most - Steve Kinser.
