NASCAR joins the ranks of satisfied AMB Scoring System customers

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. -- BoLink is proud to be a business associate of AMB Products in Holland. We have imported their products since they began the scoring and timing business in 1984. They started by scoring Radio Controlled Model Car races, and now NASCAR and other large sanctioning bodies use this same system.

During 1986-87, the first prototypes of an advanced timing/identification system for car, (off road) motorcycle and karts were in use at the Zandvoort racetrack in Holland. This led to the introduction of the AMB 9000 System in 1988; which was the first commercially sold system for Automatic Timing/Identification for all kinds of motorsports.

The outstanding qualities of the AMB 9000 System were soon recognized by the organizers of the most important race events, resulting in the permanent use of the AMB 9000 System in the 24 Hours of LeMans (since 1989); Formula 1 (since 1990) and the World Championship Motorcycle Road racing (since 1990). The AMB 9000 System, and its second generation System (AMB 9200) also came in to use in many other racing events worldwide.

In the United States, NASCAR uses the AMB system in their Winston Cup, Busch, Supertruck and All Pro series. The SCCA Trans Am, AMA, ASA and IMSA races are also scored with the AMB system.

They also have a system capable of scoring and timing 300 bicycles at one time, which is another worldwide first.

We offer their Scoring and Timing Systems for Go-Karts (System 400), full size cars (Systems 600 and 9200) and radio controlled cars (System 20). Note: There are two different systems for full size racing.

The System 400 was developed in 1993 exclusively for Go Kart racing. It found worldwide use within four months. The system is the exclusive scoring and timing system for the WKA; ESPN2 Saturday Lightning shows; Norway Speedway; Thunderdome Racing and the Northland Karting Association. In addition it is used by the Arthritis Foundation and several other firms to score their charity street yard kart races.

The system hooks up to your IBM compatible computer, and comes with transponders to attach to each vehicle. When the vehicle crosses the pickup loop (installed in the track surface), the lap counts on the computer. At the end of each race, you can get reports on race results within seconds after the last vehicle crosses the finish line.

Each system includes a one year warranty from the date of purchase.

If you want any more information on a particular AMB system that BoLink offers, please let us hear from you.
